Privacy statement
This is a translation. The German version of this privacy statement is the legally binding one.
This statement covers this website. The processing inside the application itself is covered by the privacy statement provided to you after signing in and in the contract.
1. Controller
MACONIA GmbH, Kurfürstendamm 11, 10719 Berlin, Germany
Represented by: Holger Könnecke
Email: datenschutz@maconia.de
2. Visiting this website
When you open the site, the technically necessary connection data your browser sends is processed: IP address, time, requested address, status code and the amount of data transferred. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is secure and uninterrupted operation.
This website sets no cookies, embeds no fonts, maps, videos or scripts from third party servers, and performs no analytics. There is therefore no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
3. Hosting
The website is operated at Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Contact form
If you fill in the form we process your name, your email address, optionally your company and your message in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries, otherwise Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR on the basis of your consent.
The message is delivered to our mailbox by email. For sending we use Mailjet SAS, 13-13 bis rue de l'Aubrac, 75012 Paris, France.
We keep the enquiry until it has been dealt with, and beyond that only where a statutory retention obligation applies. You may withdraw a consent at any time with effect for the future.
5. Storage in your browser
This website sets no cookies. It does read one entry in your browser's local storage — `maconia.session` — and all it takes from it is whether a session exists. That decides whether the top right says “Anmelden” or “Administration”.
No name and no identifier is read, and the website never writes that entry; it is created only by the applications, when you sign in to one. The access is strictly necessary within the meaning of § 25(2) TDDDG so that the page can show the navigation you asked for, and it does not leave your device.
The language works without storage too: it is in the address (/en/…) rather than in a cookie.
6. Protection against automated submissions
The contact form contains a field that is invisible to you and only automated programs fill in, together with a simple check of the message text for typical advertising patterns. Submissions recognised this way are discarded and not delivered.
No profile is built, no third-party service is involved, and nothing about you is stored.
7. Moving into the applications
Links such as “Anmelden”, “Zum Schnellcheck” and the entries in the product menu lead into the platform's applications. They are on the same domain but are separate services with processing of their own, covered by the privacy notice you are given after signing in and in your contract.
8. Your rights
You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Please contact datenschutz@maconia.de.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in Berlin the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
